The Legacy of Mohamed Mahmoud (حدث في محمد محمود) is a documentary series I directed in 2012 about the events of Mohamed Mahmoud Street, the six days of clashes near Tahrir Square in November 2011 that became one of the most consequential confrontations of the period. The series revisits the street through the people who were there: the protesters, the medics, the volunteers who set up field hospitals on sidewalks, and the witnesses who watched the city change in front of them. Each episode takes one piece of that week and lets the people who lived it tell it.
